Risk Disclaimer
Version 2026-09-21 · Effective 2026-09-21
Not investment advice. You control allocations. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities that give economic exposure, not share ownership.
1. No advice
Nothing on this website, in the app, in notifications or in any communication from Crumbs is investment, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy or sell any asset. The allocation template is a fixed, generic list maintained for all users; it is not tailored to you, your circumstances or your objectives. Displayed figures such as portfolio value, profit and loss or cost basis are informational and may be delayed or inaccurate. You choose the allocation and the limits. We execute.
2. No custody
Crumbs never holds your assets or keys. Round-ups are pulled from your wallet into a vault contract you own, under limits you set on-chain. The operator key can only deposit and swap within those limits; it cannot withdraw. If we disappear, your vault and its contents remain fully under the control of your wallet.
3. Stock Tokens are debt securities, not shares
Stock Tokens are tokenized debt instruments issued by a third-party issuer that track the price of an underlying stock. They provide economic exposure only. Holding a Stock Token does not make you a shareholder: you have no ownership in the company, no voting rights and no direct entitlement to dividends (any corporate action is reflected only as the issuer's terms provide). Stock Tokens carry the credit risk of the issuer, may trade at a premium or discount to the underlying, may have limited liquidity, and may be delisted or restricted at the issuer's discretion.
4. Market and execution risk
- The value of Stock Tokens can go down as well as up. You can lose all of the money you round up.
- Past performance, including any chart shown in the app, does not guarantee future results.
- Swaps execute on a decentralised exchange. Prices can move between quote and execution; slippage is bounded by your on-chain setting but is not zero.
- Underlying stock markets are closed at times when the blockchain is open. Oracle prices may be stale and batches may be held in USDC until a fresh price is available.
- Blockchain networks, RPC providers and price oracles can fail or be congested. Execution can be delayed or fail; we retry, then hold funds in USDC in your vault.
- Smart contracts can contain bugs. Audits reduce but do not eliminate this risk.
5. Where you live
We do not check your location and we do not restrict access by country. That is not a statement that the Service is lawful where you are: Stock Tokens are securities in many jurisdictions, and whether you may lawfully hold them is your responsibility to establish. We may refuse or withdraw access at any time, including to comply with law. Wallet addresses are screened against sanctions lists, and a listed address is refused wherever it is.
6. Data protection
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability described in our Privacy Policy. Account deletion requests are completed within 30 days, subject to records we must keep by law. On-chain data is public and cannot be erased.
7. Tax
Buying, holding, swapping and withdrawing Stock Tokens may create taxable events in your jurisdiction. The CSV exports and cost-basis figures in the app are provided to help your record keeping only; they may not match the method your tax authority requires. Consult a qualified tax professional. We do not provide tax advice and do not report to tax authorities on your behalf unless required by law.
8. Your decision
By using Crumbs you confirm that you have read this disclaimer, that you understand the risks, that you are making your own decisions about allocation and limits, and that you accept full responsibility for the outcome.
